training, Sun Oct 4, Haueters

Long day today! got up early and drove up to train with Chris and the "BoyZ" It's tough and it's good to train with upper belts. Learn a lot! Not only about Jiu Jitsu, but you learn a lot about yourself! There were about ten guys and all, nice guys! Here, Chris and I battle it out from the standing positon...

Rob and Heman, two of Chris' top guys

I drove down right to practice, here in Vista! Here, Ben and Bruce work hard! These two men are incredible together! Lots of attacks, back and forth!

Mike and Ray do battle

Ben and Jaime got some great training in

Bruce taking it to Mike!

Chris talked to all of us about the importance of testing yourself in competition today and he had some great insight. I do agree with all that he said. I also think it's important for guys wanting to reach the high levels in Jiu Jitsu that competition is a great educational tool, win or lose. So, it's one thing to be a practice room champion and another to put it on the line in a timed match with someone you know nothing about! think about it...
