Training through the Holidays, Oceanside, Ca

EXCEL Jiu Jitsu MMA & Fitness 4093 Oceanside Blvd, Ste D, Oceanside, Ca 92056
The holidays are here!  Unfortunately, at times, it brings to us poor weather, busy schedules, bad eating choices, and low motivation to keep up with training plans. But the hardest part of training through the winter holidays, is staying motivated.

Gabe Gonzalez has his priorities!

What is training?
Training is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, competencies, and the building of attributes; physical, mental and emotional.  It takes a lot of work and effort to reach and acquire a certain level of training...It also takes a lot of work and effort to MAINTAIN a certain level of training.
The reality of life is even if you are as good you can be, you will still lose what you don't practice.  Skills and conditioning are perishable and if you don't do something to keep them sharp, they will wane.
Keeping your skills sharp requires dedication (A devotion or setting aside for a particular purpose)  so, continue to train through the holidays and you will be rewarded and your confidence will stay high.

Training is for the whole family!

Stay Confident!
"Confidence is directly proportional to how hard you work"
To enjoy yourself, you must love what you do to be successful! So many people only do what they enjoy, things that are in their comfort zone but there is the other part of the equation that requires discipline.  To reach goals, as with everything, there are tasks that are difficult & situations that are hard to deal with but often, it is these very things that make the "Success difference."

high intensity training can help to create a brotherhood

Stay Fit!
To continue momentum through the holidays, an abbreviated training schedule can keep you in shape... if it packs enough intensity and enough duration. You can cut back a day or two a week and still maintain your fitness, as long as you train hard enough, long enough and get the quality to offset the fact that you're training less frequently.

Stay Motivated!
Maintain your focus by doing things like signing up for a tournament!  Setting up training sessions outside your gym or keeping your eye on those goals that you set for yourself.  Just remember to continue to hit the gym and do your best.  Set high goals and standards for yourself; resist the temptation of the comfort zone.
