Tournament Weekend

Part of a Jiu Jitsu Education comes from putting it on the line, with the stopwatch going, against guys that know Jiu Jitsu but don't know your game and you don't know theirs. Not only do you learn about the Jiu Jitsu game but you learn so much about yourself.
Congratulations to Joe Pugh on his first place performance today! It was a small weight division but a very tough one. He has been training hard and earned his Gold Medal today by the way of some tough Battles. Also, Congratulations to Dan Hoopes on his second place performance yesterday in an Arizona Jiu Jitsu Tournament (unfortunately, no pics.) He has also been training hard and put it on the line and earned the Silver medal.

Joe's first match, he got ahead on points, 12-0 before he submitted the guy.

Joe's second match was all standing. It went 0-0, with 0-0 advantages and won on ref's decision on aggressiveness and pushing the fight.

A very happy Bubba, Joe and yours truly.
