If you can make it out to Gracie Humaita Carlsbad tomorrow, Friday Aug 29th at noon, Michio Grubbs will be teaching a special No-Gi Jiu Jitsu class and it is free and open to everyone to come train, learn and have some fun!

NAGA Kids Jiu Jitsu tourney & XPlode MMA fight series

Glenn Rivera representing Excel Jiu Jitsu MMA fought his heart out yesterday in his first MMA pro fight at the XPlode MMA fight series in Valley Center, Ca on Aug 23, 2014.

Glenn unfortunately lost to seasoned MMA fighter, Mike Segura in an all out war between the two.  Glenn showed he has an iron chin and the heart of a lion in a valiant effort that had the crowd jumping out of their seats!

Congrats Glenn on displaying the 'NO QUIT' Attitude and putting it all on the line!

*Daniel Lopez was set to fight at this event but his opponent backed out last minute and left him with no fight.  Next time Danny!

Also, Congrats to Kennedy Kilpatrick, representing Excel Kids Jiu Jitsu in Oceanside, Ca on your first place victory...winning the Samurai Sword at the prestigious NAGA Kids Jiu Jitsu tournment in Las Vegas!

 Congratulations to the following on their promotions last night;  Eric Rivard receives the Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt!  Bubba Pugh gets his first stripe on his Purple; Ray Sloan receives a stripe on his Brown; Glenn Riviera receives his first stripe on his Purple!  All, very tough Jiu Jitsu guys!
