Attitude!...we live or die by attitude!

Attitude is your perception of life.  It's a view of a person whether positive or negative.  To a Combat Athlete an optimistic, positive attitude is more than just important...it's crucial.

Jason Mageo
Gabe and Andy Battle!

To me, your attitude is your spirit and when you face off against your opponent, it will come down to a battle of wills, a battle of spirits, and if you're doubting yourself from the beginning of a match, then you are going to be starting in a hole.

Jon Romero teaching Cian
This is what it's all about!

I got this quote from Brian Tracy (but I've read this in other books as well), "If you think you can, or you can't...you're probably right."  Attitudes influence how we act or feel and affect performance.  Be Optimistic!

Nancy Saroyen teaching the Cardio Boxing class

Attitude is what makes a champion, not any single technique.  A Combat Athlete must train his physical attributes of strength, speed and stamina along with his mental attributes of determination, desire and  fortitude.  Your attitude will be the glue that will bring the mental and the physical together.

Sergio and Nick battle!

Shape and condition your attitude with affirmations.  By sending positive, continual messages to your mind daily, you can increase your motivation, your belief in yourself, and you will have more energy!

I often let each and every one of my students know how important it is to train the mind as well as the body.  No amount of physical conditioning can compensate for psychological weakness.  To be a well conditioned athlete, you must prepare yourself physically and mentally and it all starts with ATTITUDE.
